Growth Homes is dedicated to developing affordable housing solutions within low- to moderate-income communities and communities of color. Their mission is to empower homebuyers, fostering stable lives and vibrant neighborhoods through the implementation of mix...ed-income housing and enhanced diversity. To achieve these objectives, they employ a comprehensive multi-faceted strategy: Increase availability of affordable homes in low-to-moderate-income neighborhoods and for low-to-moderate-income individuals and families Provide financial counseling to qualified homebuyers Create construction jobs and economic opportunities within those neighborhoods They got their start as GROWTH by NCRC, an initiative of the National Community Reinvestment Coalition (NCRC). GROWTH stands for "Generating Real Opportunities for Work Through Housing." GROWTH’s goal is to help reverse the long-term effects of income disparity and lack of access to better, mixed-income neighborhoods. GROWTH by NCRC has evolved into Growth Homes, which was created to advance affordable homeownership for low-to-moderate-income individuals and/or communities. GROWTH Homes is responding to the national inventory crisis primarily by building new homes in communities where investment has lagged those made in other markets. They believe that the creation and preservation of homeownership remains our Nation’s best tool for intergenerational wealth-building and community stabilization and revitalization. Their innovation is in partnering with cities and regions, and the banks serving them, seeking to provide homeownership for working-class Americans.
